Veterans Memorial Gardens & Interpretive Centre Food Security

The COVID-19 Virus has taught us that we need to take charge of our own food security as much as possible.

Due to comments in the media and by our provincial officials surrounding food security, in a recent board meeting, the Board of the CMTA and the committee for Veterans Memorial Gardens & Interpretive Centre, we made the commitment to companion plant at Veterans Memorial Gardens & Interpretive Centre in such a way as to assist our community.

We have been be planting fruit trees and shrubs, and will begin planting vegetables and flowers (to combat bugs and pests), thereby contributing to the food security of our community.

Introducing our version of VICTORY GARDENS.
