Facility Rentals

Looking for a unique venue for your next event? The Veterans Memorial Gardens & Interpretive Centre offers a warm, memorable space for meetings, celebrations, workshops, and community gatherings in Grande Prairie. Our main museum display room can comfortably seat up to 60 people for a sit-down dinner with a full buffet, though the space feels most comfortable at around 40 — making it a wonderful small venue for birthday parties, weddings, anniversaries, and small company Christmas parties. The room comes equipped with full AV equipment.

Rates

• Nonprofit organizations: $30/hour (includes AV equipment)
• Regular/private bookings: $60/hour (includes AV equipment)
• Cleaning fee: $50; $100 if alcohol is served

Potluck-style events are welcome, and on-site catering is available through the Jamaican Canteen.

Good to Know

• No tape or pins on the walls, please — use putty for decorating, or make use of the curtain rod that runs around the main display room.
• Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building.
• When you’re leaving, please text us so we can lock up — or you’re welcome to press the lock button on the building yourself; the door will lock even though the alarm system won’t arm. Please make sure to lock the gate on your way out.
• If you open any doors or windows during your event, it’s your responsibility to make sure they’re properly closed before you leave, and that the blinds are pulled down so the building can’t be seen into.
• City bylaw: no outside noise after 11 PM. If you’re out on the deck, please keep it quiet — no music outdoors after 11 PM.
• You must provide your own consumables — napkins, cutlery, plates, bowls, cups, etc. We do not supply these. If you’d like to use our dishes instead (soup cups, dessert cups, soup bowls, plates, and regular cutlery), they must be washed, rinsed, and sanitized to Alberta Health Services standards using the three-compartment sink, and the kitchen must be left clean.
